Feb 1937
Our Pantomime. The success of our Pantomime was somewhat hampered by
the absence, through illness of some of the members of the choruses,
and the same reason can no doubt be attributed to the fact that
attendances were below the average. However the show itself went well
and we think the first night was one of the best we have ever
experienced which is saying a lot when it is remembered we are not able
to have a full-dress rehearsal on the stage beforehand. Thanks to all
who helped is any way.
The " appreciation boxes
" collected the grand total of £4. This enabled the workers
and the children to have a jolly evening at the Institute, on Friday,
the 15th. of January. Members of the Orchestra attended and joined in
the fun and gave their services for musical games and dancing Thanks
from all to them and to those who contributed to the fund for this
purpose.
