The angry and evil Enchantress casts a spell to turn Prince Claude into a Beast No real worries though as Fairy Fleur-de-Lys is around to look after things. The Opening Chorus Professor Phillipe and his daughter, Beauty Anton is admired by all the girls - plus his friend, LeFou.

Brie arrives to cheer us up but he's hiding from his mother, Dame Daphne Derriere. Brie has run off as he heard his mother arrive. Brie and Beauty are friends and she tells him her father has gone off to a conference. Anton is sure he's God's gift to women and equally sure Beauty cannot resist his charms. Anton arrives with flowers which he's sure will bowl Belle over.
Anton and Lefou Countess and Beauty Wolves Lost professor Anton with flowers
Anton is taken aback by Belle's rebuttal of his advances and so Brie advises him about women. The Countess promises Belle she'll keep Anton udercontrol. The Enchantress has set wolves in the forest to keep people out. Escaping from them, Professor Phillipe gets completely lost and enters the Beast's Castle and meets Fourchette and LaTasse. He also encounters the Beast who is not pleased to see him.
Prof Returns
Professor Phillipe returns to tell everyone Belle must go live at the Castle.
