and promises to make life difficult for Cinderella.
A few secrets are revealed to the audience by the Hardups.
The long-suffering villagers meet in the square and we hear of Baron Hardup's financial worries.
Baron Hardup tries to explain his financial
position to his extravagent, spendthrift wife. 
The baroness insists he finds money to renew the wardrobe for her 'beautiful' daughters.
She
insist that her daughters are beautiful.
The
threats continue from the Furry Godfather. 
The evil
henchmen try playing a joke on the
ugly sisters. 
But they cannot out-wit them and end up with egg on their faces.
The
Ball is announced where the Prince will
choose his bride. The baroness checks the details of the ball.
The Ball means Cinderella will have more work making dresses for her sisters.
The night of the Ball and the Hardups have to walk there.
Their daughters are not too pleased but find time to show off their beauty and charm in their new clothes.
At the Ball, the Sisters attempt to make off with Dandini.
The Prince searches for the beautiful princess who left the glass slipper.
The ugly sisters insist that the slipper is theirs.
Mother thinks so too.
Cinderella arrives and is told the slipper couldn't possibly fit.
To her sisters' amazement, it fits perfectly.
All turns out well in the end.
